There has been another exodus. It's clear at this point, where the fuck do we go from here?

I haven't found a site for /pol/acks to go to yet, and this seems to be the place all of us are hanging out at.

What the fuck happened lads?

>new 4chan owner made it something awful 2.0

What does this even mean?

All he did was remove the bottom ads, put more frequent "edgy" banners and autoban people for doxxing jews at /pol/

… and maybe the porn boards are loading slower

It's less SJW now than under moot and this makes people migrate to cripplechan which is one step closer to reddit? Seems like this is no loss for 4chan.

Like all good things, it must come to an end.

When it does those that are left will wander into new spaces setting up camp here or there.

The place that becomes the new is not known to anyone, but it will be as more people are attracted to it with the same interest.

To continue the memes.

I don't think 4chan really will go down. The new ads are driving phonefags crazy, and this is likely to reduce traffic from the younger generation. Traffic cost is the main issue, so it may just end up at a lower level of popularity and survive like that.

Some boards even have porn ads now.

The last time I went there, my browser blocked the site, calling it dangerous. Must be some serious adware-ridden advertisements going on.

Before that, /x/ was full of clowns and flat Earth when I last checked. I mainly went back for /p/ since 8/p/ is dead.

Could you edit the /fringe/ sticky so that Fringe Music is >>209, not >>203, and add Fringe Art ( >>3328 )?

Also I'd appreciate flags for each of the planets.

They are now added under the category Planets. Also added Tellus.

I see they're up already. Much appreciated.

>Does it matter if there are excess flags?

Unless it got to the point of hundreds that never got used I don't really think it's an issue.

While the usefulness of a Question sticky thread is perfectly evident, I think it has outlived its purpose. In its place, I propose stickies in the format of QTDDTOT (Questions that don't deserve their own thread). I highly believe this will serve us better than the ongoing Question stickies.

Let me compare and contrast so you can see why I am proposing this change:

Question thread pros:

1. All potential threads created solely to ask a question are instead posted as comments in a single Question thread.

2. Because of 1; the catalog should consist solely of threads with consistent topics. Rather, the OP had the topic in mind and provided substance to ensure it meets quality thread guidelines.

3. Because of 2; The OP may be assumed to be an expert or at least knowledgeable of the subject.

Sounds like all is well, right? I'm not so sure.

Question thread cons:

1. Question threads function like mini-/fringe/ generals. As anyone can plainly see, Question threads are almost the entire daily activity of the board. Question threads carry ongoing topics that may or may not have actually answered a question. While a QTDDTOT will not absolutely solve this problem, it mitigates it by the fact that the user chose to value his question as insignificant - not warranting a thread. Popular topics that do not have their threads up may not ever appear because knowledgeable users do not feel incentivized to share their knowledge until an user comes asking, which will be contained to generals that clog up quite quickly with other questions and ongoing discussions.

2. Because of Pro 1; open-ended threads are nearly non-existent or difficult to create. Like solving a language puzzle, the OP must carefully ensure his thread is not a question. Typical threads on the catalog are clearly defined because of this unintended restriction. Because the OP is hoping to rope in people who are interested in the topic, he must essentially hope that lurkers in mini-/fringe/ generals notice his question amidst ongoing discussions. The ongoing discussions of each question chain grab users' attention as we're all too conditioned to recogPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

>Question threads are almost the entire daily activity of the board

Only about half.

>Popular topics that do not have their threads up may not ever appear because knowledgeable users do not feel incentivized to share their knowledge until an user comes asking

But we have a lot of threads that start off with an experienced anon putting out their knowledge, like >>>/fringe/108 and >>>/fringe/4016. They make it clear that this sort of thread is acceptable.

>open-ended threads are nearly non-existent or difficult to create. Like solving a language puzzle, the OP must carefully ensure his thread is not a question.

There are lots of threads that start off as questions, e.g. >>>/fringe/3724 and >>>/fringe/11236. The key thing is to make the question about a topic that can easily spark open discussion and so sustain the thread even after the question has been resolved. Even threads that fail to meet this requirement are often tolerated, like >>>/fringe/10857. By their nature they quickly fizzle out.

However, I think you're right that the official guidelines should be relaxed and clarified, so as to fit the reality of how these threads are treated. Some people might be discouraged from making a valuable thread because technically it is a question.

>/fringe/ should grow its catalog. A larger catalog instills trust in potential users who see activity

But we have a very low rate of posting. Having dozens of dead threads to wade through would make the board less attractive, not more. At the moment our rate of posting does not justify a large catalog and it's easier for everyone if posts are concentrated in one, visible place. Expanding the catalog would only be a good thing if we ever get to a stage Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

Fringechan is dead, terminal cancer killed it.

/fringe/ is dead, terminal cancer killed it.

Things will never be the same.

You are part of it, promoting it, doomsaying & D&Cing.

fringechan is still the least cancerous place to talk about magic in the chan-sphere.

What the fug happened to /div/? There used to be a decent amount of activity there but in July it all stopped. I still haven't got a response to my query ;_;

People usually just don't use div.

They usually just go over to /x/ and use div there.

File: 1476345264088.jpg (15.34 KB, 276x207, 4:3, 31.jpg)

I've been on /x/ again just to be in a high traffic environment and /x/ is much slower than it used to be

i can maybe answer your query… if i remember to come back here and see what it is

there's a /div/ discord if that helps.

why is this still an issue

Apologies if I've overlooked something.

Latest /ask/ thread #6 seems to have been locked and there's no new ones, so i can't.. well "ask" anything. Last comment was 15 days ago.

OP here, and I hath learned my blunder. Disregard this thread

so searching revo/loosh/ionary on google makes sites show up (unleashgaming.com, gamescan.nl, etc) that have this whole site on them/are mirrors? What's that about?

File: 1478835414826.jpg (12.18 KB, 200x255, 40:51, worry.jpg)

Should we buy some tinfoil now? I don't even want to attempt posting on those sites.

They are domain names I have parked on this server. Fringechan is the default virtual host that gets loaded when unknown domains point to the IP of this server.

I don't know what that means, but maybe I'll learn that later.

It is good that you know of it/it's your thing tho; I'd had a similar reaction to the other guy.

Is it hard to run a community where you have respect towards people regardless of faith? So now everyone here is an enemy of the admin unless you worship Satan and only talk to his adversaries. All other teachings are Jewish tricks and the enemy.

This was my last community effort.

I always wondered how were you a mod with Alpam as a BO.

Two entities you invoked during the first AP session:

>Archangel Gabriel

>some Reptilian

Brother, all you'd have to do is not only teach people about the ego, but also about the shadow and the higher self. You blame everything on one thing and don't really focus on the other two parts of the soul.

You're a good person - you just do the same mistake literally everyone I know who has discovered a great truth that has changes his life for the better does: You tunnel vision on that truth and its perspective, closing your mind to everything else. Stay loyal to your believes if they stay loyal to you - but allow yourself to add new believes.

I don't think you should give up.

Logs plz

Mossa is not giving up. He changed the IRC and Discord because he doesn't want to waste time with a person that acts like Smiley and redo the same mistakes that lead to the community split that happened on 8ch's board.

You can connect to the IRC and reach him:

The two private sessions that Mossa provided also gives more insight into the subconscious, but not everyone has done those.

The second paragraph in your post perfectly describes Alpam's development.

Why do I have to refresh the page while manually not loading from cache at this website? It's only here.

New posts are not showing up in threads and the catalog ain't updated either, unless I hold shift and reload.

Just vichan problems, it happens on multiple websites.

shills disapprove of this image

they hate it like you can't imagine. I'm spreading it and you should too. they will come up with stupid arguments and try to explain why it isn't good enough. look at what happened in the last thread. https://archive.is/QgZRT

it's/they are on every board giving bad advice on purpose.

>on /ck/ they shill monsanto shit and try to make people eat gmo's and pesticide "enriched" foods and fanatically try to convince people they don't deserve to know what they are buying so foods in the store should "never" be labled. (promoting corn syrup, gmo soy, roundup, yellow 5, and other additves or unhealthy foods as safe or healthy)

>on /fit/ they give bad advice on purpose that will get people hurt or sick (dentist threads promoting vaccines, mercury dental fillings, fluoride)

>on both /ck/ and /fit/ they shoot down and make a scape goat meme out of vegans who try to share their success stories on how they got healthy eating their veg "wow vegans are such gay fairies and sissy wimps! here eat some unhealthy shit like a man"

>on /tech/ they always say "well hue hue guys its okay that I use windows 10" "here use intel" "I love google chrome"

>on /v/ they want people to give money to EA and Ubisoft and Microsoft and Sony and Activision and Bethesda

>on /pol/ they shill obvious things like "stop knowing things you shouldn't know", attempting to trick people into accepting mainstream promoted AAA ideas and kosher thoughts and thread slide all the good threads all the way to the bottom at alarming speeds so that topics that they don't approve of are not seen, and if thread sliding fails they create arguments and disrupt all civilized discussion in the thread until the thread reaches the bump limit and disappears.

Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

Yes, welcome to the 21st century and information warfare. If you see image 3 of >>>/arcane/1 you will see we are already very much aware of these kind of psyops.

I do like the opening of that image; props anon for fighting the good fight and proliferating arms (practical wieldable information). Blessed are the noble, blessed are the righteous.

I'd like if each question thread had a different beginning picture; it helps me differentiate them.

Also, /astral/ is missing from the top bar.

1 post omitted. Click reply to view.

I'm pretty sure /astral/ got wiped, as they don't appear in the paged view but moved threads do in /loosh/

Indeed; It was taken out of the top bar because of non use and then it fell into the abyss and was full of spam & shitposts, if you really care to see, you can via >>>/grave/

Perhaps it can be used in proper form it may go back up on the top but it sat unused collecting dust & spam for many months, we though it best to wait till fringe was more mature of a site to reinstate it. That time may or may not be now.

But by not having it in the top bar, it can never come back into use because very few will discover it.

The problem with /astral/ is that there's a very small amount of people who AP and use fringechan. So the board will naturally be pretty dead until traffic picks up a lot. You could merge /astral/ into /fringe/ if you think it's overexpansion, but I don't think it's such a bad thing to have a couple of really slow boards for specialized topics.

I'd also suggest putting /meta/ in the top bar.

Thank you for your submission. I have corrected all the SSL points, the bad score was mostly caused by leaving SSL3 connectivity available.
